Books

Books are one of the best resources to help you achieve Financial Freedom. 

They are cheap, easy to buy, you can read them anywhere and go back to them as many times as you want.

It was Charlie Jones who said “you will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.”

These are the best personal finance books to help you reach Financial Independence:

Rich Dad, Poor Dad

This is the original and still one of the best selling personal finance books of all time.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad is deceptively simple, yet the concepts contained within are incredibly powerful if you want to think like someone who is wealthy.

I also like Rich Dad, Poor Dad because it teaches that you can be wealth and have a great life. It doesn't have to be an either or decision.

The 4-Hour Work Week

If you are looking to escape your 9-5 (or your 5-9) then, as the title suggests, this is the book for you.

I love the 'anything's possible' mantra of the 4-Hour Work Week and have read this book at least 4 times over the past few years.

In fact, this book could well have been the catalyst for Millennial Mutiny in the first place. The book walks you through, step-by-step, how you can start an online business, retire early and live anywhere.

Dotcom Secrets

I have a lot of time for Russell Brunson. He has a bit of a love / hate following, but I love his stuff.

If you want to build a business online, find traffic and convert them into loyal customers, this book is for you.

Russell Brunson walks the talk and has built and scaled many businesses, in many different industries, online.

Expert Secrets

The follow up to Dotcom Secrets, this book will tell you everything you need to know about becoming an 'expert' in your chosen field.

The book walks you through finding your niche (Russell Brunson started off online selling how-to DVD's for building potato guns - you really can find a following in any niche online), creating valuable products to serve your audience and then getting them into the hands of as many people as possible. 

Blogs

I have been amazed at how open and supportive the financial independence blogging community is. I believe that there is no monopoly on good ideas and it is great to share and promote good resources.

Millennial Money

I love following Grant's journey from $2.26 to $1.25m in 5 years. Millennial Money was the first blog I stumbled upon when I started my financial freedom journey and I can't thank Grant enough for the resources he provides.

Michelle over at Making Sense Of Cents has one of the most successful blogs on the web. She has built her blog up to generate over $100,000 per year.

Well Kept Wallet is wonderfully simple financial freedom blog which can help you make money, save money and pay off debts fast.
